Global markets await Nvidia earnings and US inflation data

Global financial markets are in a state of anticipation as investors await critical economic data and corporate earnings. Key focus areas include the upcoming quarterly results from Nvidia, which are expected to serve as a litmus test for the sustainability of the artificial intelligence boom, and the release of US Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) inflation data, a preferred metric for the Federal Reserve.

In the cryptocurrency market, Bitcoin experienced volatility, reaching a high of 80,800 dollars before facing selling pressure near the 80,000 dollar threshold. Concurrently, the US Treasury has expanded sanctions against Iran to include its cryptocurrency and technology sectors.

Energy markets saw a significant decline, with Brent crude oil prices dropping by approximately 3.9 percent to 88.6 dollars per barrel. This decline was partly attributed to expectations that US economic sanctions against Iran might be less severe than previously feared, alongside reports of potential diplomatic progress. This drop in oil prices has contributed to easing inflation concerns and a subsequent decrease in US 10-year bond yields, which fell to approximately 4.63 percent.
