European Masters Swimming Championships see major Czech and German medal hauls

The European Masters Swimming Championships, held across venues in Šamorín, Bratislava, and Graz, concluded with significant achievements from Czech and German athletes.

The Czech Republic secured a total of 74 medals, including 26 gold, 27 silver, and 21 bronze. Juraj Bránik was a standout performer, earning three gold, two silver, and one bronze medal. Other notable Czech successes included gold for Matěj Kozubek in long-distance swimming and Marie Šebková in diving. The Czech delegation also performed strongly in pool swimming, capturing 19 titles.

Representing Germany, the SG Stadtwerke München team earned 41 medals. The Munich-based club saw exceptional success in relay events, with their women’s 160 age group setting both new German age-group records and Championship Records in the 4 x 50 meter freestyle and medley relays. The mixed relay team also secured two gold medals with new German records.
