European museums announce major anniversary art exhibitions
Several European museums are preparing major exhibitions to mark significant anniversaries.
In France, MusVerre will host ‘Enchanté, la fabrique des histoires’ in 2026 to celebrate its 10th anniversary. The exhibition features approximately twenty works by national and international artists, using glass to explore themes of fantasy, legends, and the boundary between reality and imagination. The showcase is organized into four thematic chapters: the making of stories, the land of wonders, the uncanny, and Utopia.
In Belgium, the La Boverie museum is celebrating its tenth anniversary with an exhibition focused on the history of Impressionism in Belgium. The event aims to highlight the country's role as a center of European modernism. The exhibition will feature nearly 150 masterpieces from over 30 institutions, including the Musée d’Orsay and the Petit Palais de Genève. It will present works by Belgian artists such as James Ensor and Théo Van Rysselberghe alongside French masters like Claude Monet and Pierre-Auguste Renoir, while also highlighting the contributions of female Impressionist artists.
