European museums launch new illustration and drawing workshops

Several European museums are launching new artistic workshop programs focused on illustration and drawing.

In Ascoli Piceno, Italy, the Picenworld Museum (PIMU) will host ‘A mano libera’, a creative laboratory for children aged 6 to 13. Running from October 2026 to June 2027, the weekly Saturday sessions will cover topics including anatomical drawing, character design, manga style, and perspective. The program aims to transform the museum into an active space for new generations to master visual language, concluding with a final exhibition of original manga works.

In Sant Cugat, Spain, the Museu del Còmic i la Il·lustració is offering monthly workshops for youths and adults aged 13 and older. Led by professional David Pugliese, these sessions focus on specific techniques such as watercolor, acrylic, expressive drawing, and caricature. The upcoming sessions in October and November are designed to be accessible to both beginners and those looking to refine their professional skills.
