European Parliament Ambassador Schools hold conference in Hanau
The Conference of European Parliament Ambassador Schools recently took place at the Karl-Rehbein-Schule in Hanau. The event included 155 participants representing 24 different schools.
The Ambassador School program aims to increase student awareness of European parliamentary democracy, the role of the Parliament, and European values. Participating schools appoint senior and junior ambassadors to lead the program, while teachers provide pedagogical support through lessons on democratic processes. Schools that successfully complete the program receive certification as EU Ambassador Schools.
During the event, students participated in an online exchange with MEP Tiemo Wölken. Discussions covered topics such as climate change measures, EU lobbying, youth participation in EU affairs, and the future of nuclear power in Europe.
