European Parliament hosts sculpture of Donald Trump by Jens Galschiøt

Danish artist Jens Galschiøt has unveiled a new copper sculpture titled ‘The Orange Plague’ at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France. The 8.5-foot-tall golden-colored statue depicts US President Donald Trump in a naked, seated position atop a smaller, frail figure.

Also referred to as the ‘King of Injustice,’ the artwork features the president clutching a golf club and the scales of justice. According to Galschiøt, the piece is intended to symbolize perceived threats to the environment and the established rules-based world order. The statue’s plinth includes text stating that the figure on top is sinking under a burden but refuses to step down.
