European protests linked to Russian destabilization efforts

Economist Andrei Caramitru and journalist Lucian Mîndruță have suggested that recent social unrest and violent protests across various European nations may be part of a broader destabilization effort. Caramitru claims that these protests appear synchronized and are likely organized by Russian networks and potentially the MAGA movement from the United States. He links these demonstrations to infrastructure sabotage in Ukraine and incidents in the Black Sea.

Mîndruță attributes the violence in Europe to political radicalization and hybrid warfare fueled by Russian propaganda. He argues that both the far-left and far-right have become tools for destabilizing Western societies, with extremist discourses being amplified through digital platforms like Telegram, X, and Signal. He notes that millions of low-cost accounts, often based in Asia, contribute to the spread of radical messages.
