European Researchers' Night events held in Coimbra and Armamar

The European Researchers' Night is being celebrated across various Portuguese locations with large-scale scientific engagement events.

In Coimbra, 777 scientists from the University of Coimbra will participate in 112 activities throughout the city center. The program, themed ‘Uniting Knowledge, Transforming the Future’, includes experiments, games, and demonstrations across 90 locations. The initiative aims to make science accessible and interactive to spark interest in scientific careers among young people.

In Armamar, the event features 111 scientists representing 30 national and international entities. The program includes 40 ‘Science Stations’ covering diverse fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, archaeology, and marine biology. Activities are designed to connect scientific knowledge with the local rural community, featuring specialized programs like ‘Schools with Science’ and digital ‘Science Missions’ to engage students and residents.
