European royal families report legal, health, and ceremonial updates

Several developments have emerged regarding European royal families. In Norway, a Norwegian appeals court has granted a request for a retrial in the case of Marius Borg Høiby. The 29-year-old was previously sentenced to four years in prison on 34 counts, including two counts of rape. He is currently in custody under house arrest with an electronic ankle monitor.

In Denmark, Queen Margrethe has been discharged from Rigshospitalet following treatment for a blood clot in her hip area and mild dehydration. She has returned to Fredensborg Palace to recover.

In Norway, King and Queen Felipe and Letizia of Spain attended the funeral of King Harald V in Oslo. This marked Queen Letizia’s first official visit to Norway in 22 years.

Additionally, the Greek royal family issued a warning regarding a fraudulent scheme where scammers are using the names of Crown Prince Pavlos and other royals online to solicit donations and steal bank details.
