European Sleeper to launch new night train route to Scandinavia in 2028

European Sleeper has announced a new night train route scheduled to launch in the spring of 2028. The service aims to connect Brussels and Amsterdam with Copenhagen and Malmö, providing a direct overnight link to Scandinavia.

The initiative is part of an expansion by the Belgian-Dutch cooperative to promote night trains as a viable alternative to air travel. The service is designed to optimize travel time by allowing passengers to depart in the evening and arrive at their destinations the following morning, bypassing the delays often associated with airports and multiple transfers.

Preliminary details suggest departures from Brussels and Malmö will occur around 19:00, with arrivals at the final destination expected around 10:00 the next day. While specific schedules and frequencies are still being finalized, the route will serve as a gateway to other European cities such as London, Paris, Stockholm, and Oslo, though these will require additional connections.
