European Sleeper to launch new overnight train service to Scandinavia in 2028

European Sleeper has announced plans to expand its rail network into Scandinavia with a new overnight train service scheduled to begin in early 2028. In partnership with the German railway operator RDC, the new route will directly connect Brussels and Amsterdam with Copenhagen and Malmö.

The service aims to provide a sustainable alternative to air travel, allowing passengers to travel through Northern Europe overnight. According to initial plans, departures from Brussels and Malmö are expected around 19:00, with arrivals at the final destinations around 10:00 the following morning.

While the new line focuses on connecting the Benelux region with Denmark and southern Sweden, it will also serve as a gateway to other major European cities. Passengers will be able to reach destinations such as London, Paris, Stockholm, and Oslo with at least one transfer.
