European Table Tennis Championships: Five Poles reach singles main draw

Five Polish table tennis players have qualified for the main singles draw at the European Championships in Ljubljana. Miłosz Redzimski and Natalia Bajor entered the main bracket directly due to their rankings, while Maciej Kubik, Anna Brzyska, and Katarzyna Węgrzyn secured their spots through the qualifying rounds.

In the doubles competition, two Polish women's pairs have advanced to the round of 16: the duo of Zuzanna Wielgos and Anna Brzyska, and the partnership of Natalia Bajor and Slovakian Tatiana Kukulkova. However, the mixed doubles teams consisting of Maciej Kubik and Natalia Bajor, as well as Marek Badowski and Zuzanna Wielgos, were eliminated in the second round of the main bracket.

Individual results from the qualifying stages included a dominant performance by Katarzyna Węgrzyn, who lost only one set during her group matches. Maciej Kubik also advanced after a challenging 3-0 victory over Norway's Khaim Lam. Conversely, Zuzanna Wielgos was eliminated from the singles competition following a loss to Norway's Martine Toftaker.
