European tech startup investments reach €15.8 billion

Investments in European technology startups saw a significant increase in September, totaling €15.8 billion across 300 transactions. The United Kingdom attracted nearly half of this funding, followed by France, Germany, and the Netherlands.

Major capital inflows were concentrated in cloud computing and artificial intelligence, alongside fintech, healthcare, space, robotics, and software sectors. The largest single transaction involved the French company Mistral, which raised €3 billion.

To reduce reliance on American technology corporations, the European Union is preparing new funding instruments specifically targeting AI and cloud technologies.
