European theme parks launch seasonal Halloween festivals

Major European theme parks are launching their annual Halloween seasonal programs, running from late September through early November.

Disneyland Paris is hosting its Halloween Festival with themed decorations, character appearances including Mickey Mouse as a count, and the return of the ‘Mickey’s Halloween Celebration’ parade. On October 31, the park will extend its hours and allow visitors to wear costumes.

Europa-Park in Germany is featuring 180,000 pumpkins and new attractions such as the ‘Pumpkin Village’ and the ‘TARTAROS’ horror maze for visitors aged 12 and up. The park also includes seasonal light installations and themed areas in its Austrian and Croatian sections.

Other regional attractions, such as Movie Park Germany, Walibi Holland, and Attractiepark Slagharen, are also participating in the seasonal trend. Movie Park Germany offers ‘Kinder Halloween’ during the day and the ‘Halloween Horror Festival’ at night, featuring scare zones and horror houses like the ‘Jason Universe’.
