Beritnica Beach on Pag Island named Europe's best hidden beach

Beritnica Beach, located on the island of Pag near Metajna and Novalja, has been named the best hidden beach in Europe by the car rental and booking platform DiscoverCars.com.

The beach is noted for its unique, lunar-like landscape characterized by white stone formations and a lack of vegetation, contrasting sharply with the turquoise Adriatic Sea. Unlike many popular Mediterranean destinations, Beritnica lacks typical amenities such as beach bars or sun loungers, and it requires a 20 to 30-minute walk from the nearest parking area to reach.

In addition to its scenery, the area is recognized as a destination for climbing due to the Stogaj rock formation. Beritnica was ranked ahead of other notable hidden beaches in Spain, Greece, Cyprus, and Albania.
