European travel trends highlight affordable Polish cities and autumn destinations

A new study by virtual card provider Getsby, utilizing data from Budget Your Trip, has identified the most affordable European weekend destinations for two people traveling on a medium budget. Polish cities dominate the rankings, occupying six of the top ten spots. Wrocław is ranked as the most affordable city, with an average daily cost of 41 euros per person, covering accommodation, food, and local transport.

Other highly affordable Polish cities include Poznań and Katowice. Beyond budget considerations, travel experts highlight September as an ideal time to visit major European hubs like London. Visiting after the peak summer season offers milder weather, fewer crowds at major institutions such as the British Museum and the National Gallery, and access to seasonal cultural events like the London Design Festival and London Fashion Week.
