European Union sees faster deportations but integration gaps persist

Italian migrant organisations criticize the EU approach, pointing to new agreements with third‑country hubs such as Rwanda, Uzbekistan and Albania, and recent talks with the Afghan Taliban aimed at returning migrants convicted of crimes.
