European University of Cyprus secures Athens campus licence
The European University of Cyprus (EUC) has obtained official permission to establish and operate a university branch in Athens, to be called EUC‑Athens. The licence marks a milestone in the university’s internationalisation, adding a second overseas campus after the EUC‑Frankfurt centre, which has been running since 2022. The new Athens campus is being built on a 50‑stremma site in Pallini, Attica, and will feature lecture halls, high‑tech research labs, simulation and clinical training centres, sports facilities and advanced digital infrastructure. EUC intends the campus to strengthen its academic and research footprint in Greece, foster interdisciplinary collaboration with industry and the health sector, and contribute to the development of high‑skill human capital in the wider region.
