European Week for Safety and Health at Work initiatives launched in Italy

In observance of the European Week for Safety and Health at Work, running from October 19 to 25, various initiatives are being organized across Italy to promote workplace prevention and health.

In Cuneo, Confindustria Cuneo, in collaboration with local health authorities and businesses, has scheduled a program of training sessions, conferences, and webinars. This follows national data from Inail showing approximately 519,000 reported workplace injuries in Italy in 2025, a 0.8% increase from the previous year.

In Pavia, the Inail Provincial Advisory Committee is hosting a conference focused on recognizing and preventing occupational diseases. This initiative addresses a trend where occupational illnesses have increased by 17% in Lombardy and 11% in Italy over the last 26 years. The event aims to increase awareness of both common and emerging health risks in the evolving work environment.
