European Week of Sport initiatives held in Požarevac and Mursko Središće

Various cities across Europe are participating in the European Week of Sport, an initiative by the European Commission under the slogan ‘BeActive’ to encourage physical activity and healthy lifestyles.

In Požarevac, Serbia, the program runs from September 23 to September 30, 2026. Organized by the Požarevac Sports Center, the eight-day schedule includes table tennis, basketball, handball, motocross, and riding. Specific events include the ‘Junior 2026’ school championships, the 80th anniversary of FK Železničar, and the ‘Požarevac 2026’ 3x3 basketball tournament.

In Mursko Središće, Croatia, the celebration takes place from September 21 to September 25, 2026. The five-day program offers free activities for all generations, including sports games for kindergarteners, workplace exercises, functional training, Nordic walking, and yoga. The initiative aims to promote movement and social interaction through various community-based sessions.
