European Youth Circus hosts emerging talents in Wiesbaden

The European Youth Circus is currently being held at the Dern’schen Gelände in Wiesbaden, Germany. Since 1998, this biennial event has provided a major platform for young circus artists aged 12 to 25 from across the continent.

The 2026 edition, themed ‘Out of the Bubble’, aims to integrate traditional circus arts with urban elements such as rap, breaking, and graffiti. The festival seeks to transform the arena into a space for encounter, often involving the audience in the performances.

Out of more than 150 applicants from 23 European countries, 26 acts were selected to perform. The diverse lineup includes various disciplines, such as aerial acrobatics on straps and duo performances, featuring artists from various backgrounds, including those from Ukraine and Russia.
