European youth initiatives announce civil protection forum and mobility campaign

The European Commission has announced the ninth edition of the European Civil Protection Forum, scheduled for November 3–4, 2026, in Brussels, Belgium. Under the theme ‘Prepared today, prepared for tomorrow,’ the forum will focus on disaster management, community resilience, and civic engagement. The event invites youth aged 18 to 30 to participate in workshops and contribute to the European strategy for managing emergencies, climate risks, and natural disasters. Selected participants will have their travel and accommodation expenses covered.

Separately, Eurodesk has launched the twelfth edition of its ‘Time to Move’ campaign. Throughout October, the initiative will host over 1,500 activities across more than 30 countries to promote international mobility opportunities. The campaign aims to connect young people with programs such as Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps through information sessions, workshops, and online challenges. An interactive map is available to help youth locate local physical and online events designed to support personal and professional development.
