Europos Archaeological Site to host inauguration of new lighting and protection works

The Greek Ministry of Culture and the Kilkis Ephorate of Antiquities will host an inauguration ceremony for new lighting works at the Europos Archaeological Site on September 4, 2026. The event also marks the completion of a protective roof for a ceramic kiln.

Minister of Culture Dr. Lina Mendoni will preside over the ceremony. The event will be followed by a musical and poetic performance titled ‘Singing Kavvadias – 50 Years Later,’ organized by the Culture Center of the Central Macedonia Region. The production commemorates the 50th anniversary of the death of poet Nikos Kavvadias and features musical works by composers such as Thanos Mikroutsikos, Giannis Spanos, Mariza Koch, and Dimitris Zervoudakis.
