Eurosatory 2026 showcases Lynx Recce vehicle and Polish defence contracts

At the Eurosatory 2026 defence exhibition in Paris, Rheinmetall AG unveiled the Lynx Recce, a reconnaissance version of the KF41 Lynx infantry fighting vehicle built for the Hungarian Defence Forces. The variant adds a light 30 mm turret, an anti‑drone suite and advanced ISTAR sensors supplied by Pro Patria Electronics, including a radar that detects personnel at up to 10 km and larger targets at 40 km, plus high‑resolution day and thermal cameras.

Polish Defence Group (PGZ) used the fair to announce several initiatives: a joint‑venture between its subsidiary Mesko and France’s Eurenco to produce modular 155 mm artillery charge systems from mid‑2028, the display of the Universal Modular Tracked Platform with a Slovakian TURRA‑30 V10 unmanned turret, and the 4×4 Waran vehicle equipped with a remote‑controlled 30 mm weapon module. PGZ also signed a cooperation agreement with the French industry body GICAT and a memorandum of understanding with Thales on 70 mm rocket systems, underscoring expanding Polish‑French defence collaboration.
