Eurostar begins commercial service of ERTMS-equipped e300 train

Eurostar has reached a new milestone in its fleet modernization program with the first commercial operation of an e300 train equipped with the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS). The deployment follows authorization from the European Union Agency for Railways (ERA) in early July 2026.

The successful implementation resulted from a collaborative process involving the transformation of a prototype trainset. This project included static and dynamic testing conducted in partnership with Masteris, SNCB, and SNCF Voyageurs Matériel. Eurostar has committed to equipping eight e300 trains with this technology.
