Eurostar launches official ChatGPT app for rail travel searches

Eurostar has launched an official app within ChatGPT, making it the first rail operator to offer this functionality widely in Europe. The integration allows travelers to search for trains and access real-time information regarding schedules, travel times, and available fares using natural language.

Users can link their ChatGPT accounts to the Eurostar app to perform queries such as finding weekend trips from London to Paris or comparing departure times between Brussels and Amsterdam. While the AI assistant facilitates the search process, users are redirected to the official Eurostar website to complete their bookings.

Eurostar reported a significant increase in AI-driven engagement, noting that traffic to its website from AI platforms quintupled between January 2025 and June 2026. During this period, ChatGPT accounted for 85% of all website traffic originating from AI applications.
