Eurostars opens third hotel in San Sebastián, boosting Basque portfolio

Eurostars Hotel Company, a subsidiary of the Hotusa group, has opened the Villa Itziar, a four‑star boutique hotel in San Sebastián. The 27‑room property, rebuilt from the historic Villa Nuestra Señora de Itziar and designed by the local FIARK studio, features private terraces, a restaurant, gym, outdoor pool and a collection of artworks referencing prominent Basque sculptors and artists.

With this addition, Eurostars now operates three hotels in the Basque Country: Villa Itziar and Eurostars Amara in San Sebastián, and Eurostars Indautxu in Bilbao. The opening was made under a lease agreement and is part of the chain’s broader strategy to expand its presence in high‑demand urban destinations across Spain and Europe. President of Grupo Hotusa, Amancio López, highlighted San Sebastián’s status as a leading European urban destination and said the new hotel reflects the city’s cultural and culinary appeal.
