Eurovision 2027 selection processes begin in Sweden and Denmark

National selection processes for the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest are underway in Sweden and Denmark.

In Sweden, broadcaster SVT has received a record 4,077 entries for Melodifestivalen 2027. While official participants have not been confirmed by SVT, media reports have circulated rumors regarding potential artists, including hip-hop singer Imenella, singer Ulrik Munther, and former football professional Kevin Walker.

In Denmark, the submission window for Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2027 closes today. Following the deadline, eight songs will be selected to compete in the national final, which is scheduled for February 13, 2027, at the Sydbank Arena in Kolding. Submissions must adhere to specific eligibility rules regarding Danish citizenship or residency, and songs must comply with Eurovision Song Contest regulations.
