Eurovision director Martin Green highlights benefits of Bulgaria's first-time hosting

Eurovision director Martin Green told Variety that Bulgaria’s debut as host of the contest will have a long‑term positive impact. He said the event will give millions of viewers their first chance to discover the country, boosting tourism and enhancing Bulgaria’s international image.

Green also noted that the European Broadcasting Union has accepted Canada’s public broadcaster CBC as a full member, allowing Canada to make its historic debut at Eurovision. He described the addition as another sign of the contest’s global growth.
