Eurovision Sport launches on UK FAST platforms

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has expanded its free streaming service Eurovision Sport onto Fast‑Ad‑Supported Streaming Television (FAST) platforms in the United Kingdom. The rollout, the first FAST deployment for the service, includes channels such as Free Live Sports, Plex, Amazon Live and Samsung TV Plus. Launched in 2024, Eurovision Sport provides thousands of hours of live and on‑demand coverage of Olympic and emerging sports, complementing the output of EBU member public‑service broadcasters.

The EBU said the move aims to increase discoverability of under‑served sports, give rights holders broader free‑to‑air reach and test innovations like AI‑driven multilingual commentary and live subtitling. Managing Director Alan Fagan described the expansion as a natural step to place free sport where audiences already spend time, enhancing year‑round digital engagement without competing with national broadcasters.
