Eurowings expands Middle East network with new Baghdad flights
Eurowings, the value carrier of the Lufthansa Group, has announced a significant expansion of its network for the winter 2026/2027 season. The airline will increase connectivity from six German bases—Berlin, Düsseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, Hamburg, Hannover, and Stuttgart—to destinations across Northern and Southern Europe, the Canary Islands, Egypt, and the Middle East.
A key highlight of the new schedule is the introduction of direct flights to Baghdad, Iraq, starting December 10, 2026, with two weekly frequencies from both Berlin and Düsseldorf. The airline is also strengthening its Middle Eastern presence with 14 weekly flights to Dubai, service to Jeddah, and direct connections to Erbil, Tel Aviv, Amman, and Beirut.
Additionally, Eurowings will introduce the new Premium BIZ Seat on selected routes starting December 1, 2026. This configuration, featuring eight seats in a 2x2 layout on Airbus A320neo aircraft, will be available on all flights to Dubai and select routes to London Heathrow, Mallorca, and Malaga.
