EUSA Combat Games in Tirana feature university athletes

The EUSA Combat Games 2026, organized by the European University Sports Association, took place in Tirana, Albania, featuring university athletes competing in taekwondo, karate, judo, and kickboxing.

In taekwondo, Croatian representatives secured four medals. Josip Teskera earned silver in the under 58 kg category. In the poomsae disciplines, Borna Pečko won silver in men's Recognized Poomsae, Paolo Kaćunić took silver in men's Freestyle Poomsae, and Roberta Špoljar earned bronze in women's Freestyle Poomsae.

Representing the University of Tuzla in karate, Stefani Krešić finished in fifth place in the over 68 kg category after a narrow loss in the bronze medal match. Other notable performances from the University of Tuzla included Tony Pipal, who secured fifth place in the senior over 84 kg category, and Loren Šarić in the 75 kg category.
