Eusebio Ayala crime investigation: Suspect denies involvement in fatal attack

Authorities in Eusebio Ayala, Cordillera, are investigating a violent attack that resulted in the death of Rebeca Martínez Aricaye and left Carolina Raquel Aguilar critically injured. New evidence suggests a dispute occurred at a local rodeo (jineteada) between the victim's ex-partner and one of the suspected attackers after a man began dancing with the two women.

Junior Delvalle Almeida, a primary suspect, has denied involvement in the crime. He claims he was not in the white Toyota Fortuner identified by investigators, but rather arrived in a gray Kia Sportage. Delvalle stated he has no prior relationship or communication with Martínez and intends to present himself to the authorities to clarify his involvement, noting that he had a separate verbal altercation with the victim's ex-partner during the event.
