Eutelsat and Qatar Media Corporation renew satellite distribution deal

Eutelsat and Qatar Media Corporation (QMC), Qatar’s national public broadcasting organization, have signed a new multi-year agreement to distribute television services across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Under the terms of the deal, QMC will utilize Eutelsat’s satellite capacity and uplink services at the 7/8° West orbital position via the Eutelsat 7 West A satellite. This infrastructure allows QMC to deliver its national television bouquet to an estimated 70 million homes. The partnership follows the May launch of QMC’s QBC Business Channel in 4K on the same orbital position.

Eutelsat officials noted that the extension demonstrates continued trust in their broadcast infrastructure, while QMC representatives stated the agreement ensures the continuity and reliability of their regional satellite distribution.
