EUV offers free green waste disposal in Ickern

The EUV municipal service is launching a free green waste disposal initiative in the Ickern district of Castrop-Rauxeler this autumn. From Monday, September 21, to Saturday, October 10, residents can dispose of household quantities of garden waste at the recycling center located at Deininghauser Weg 103.

Accepted materials include weeds, lawn and shrub clippings, perennials, cut flowers, and branches with a diameter of up to ten centimeters. The service will not accept thick tree trunks, root stumps, plastic bags, flower pots, cardboard, wire, or string.

As part of a circular economy effort, the EUV will also provide free compost to visitors in household quantities while supplies last. An information session regarding the correct disposal of organic waste will be held at the recycling center on Wednesday, September 30, from 9:00 to 12:00.
