EV infrastructure expands with new flagship chargers and electric fire truck support

EVgo and General Motors have launched a new flagship DC fast-charging station in Warren, Michigan. Located near GM’s Global Technical Center, the site features 12 high-power 350-kW stalls equipped with both CCS and NACS connectors. The facility includes a pull-through layout specifically designed to accommodate electric vehicles towing trailers, allowing drivers to charge without unhitching. EVgo aims to expand its flagship rollout to over 100 stalls by the end of 2026 across several US states.

In a separate electrification development, XCharge North America has deployed a 400-kW ultra-fast charger at Dallas Love Field Airport. This infrastructure supports the Rosenbauer Panther 6×6 Electric, the world’s first fully electric aircraft rescue and firefighting vehicle. The charging system utilizes liquid-cooled cables to manage the heat generated during high-speed, long-duration charging cycles, ensuring the emergency vehicle remains ready for rapid deployment for Dallas Fire-Rescue.
