EV Resources secures high-grade antimony ore for Mexico plant

EV Resources has secured 200 dry tonnes of high-grade antimony ore to initiate its first proof-of-concept processing campaign at the Tecomatlán plant in Mexico. The ore, which features grades of 13–16% antimony, was purchased from Lucero Grupo Minero de Puebla by the company’s Mexican subsidiary, Stibcorp.

The procurement is the first under a binding five-year ore supply agreement. The material is stockpiled approximately 8km from the plant, with haulage expected to begin within two weeks. This campaign aims to demonstrate the company’s commercial cycle: purchasing regional ore, processing it through its own facility, and producing a marketable antimony concentrate.

Previous flotation tests on similar material achieved an 81.1% antimony recovery, producing a concentrate that could potentially be upgraded from 42.4% to 62.9% antimony. Executive Chairman Shane Menere stated that the campaign is designed to establish real operating data and demonstrate the company’s regional hub model, which intends to serve miners across Puebla, Oaxaca, and Guerrero.
