EV startups TOGL and EV. Tech secure new funding for charging infrastructure
New electric vehicle (EV) ventures are securing funding to expand charging and management infrastructure in different global markets.
In the United Kingdom, Will Maden, co-founder of the EV charging software firm Fuuse, has launched TOGL. The startup raised £850,000 in a pre-seed round led by Haatch, with additional support from Fhunded Angels and Setanta Vehicle Importers. TOGL provides a platform for electric vehicle fleets to intelligently manage power consumption from the grid, allowing companies to utilize lower tariffs and reduce energy costs.
In Côte d’Ivoire, Enko Capital has invested in EV. Tech, a startup focused on electric vehicle charging solutions. The investment, made through Enko Capital’s Francophone West Africa SME Strategy, aims to support the expansion of EV. Tech’s network, which currently includes 70 charging stations. Founded by Florent Thomas and Esther Dagri, the company seeks to make electric mobility more accessible to businesses and households by increasing the availability of reliable charging infrastructure.
