EV Zug Women’s team celebrates championship banner raising

The EV Zug Women’s ice hockey team celebrated their 2025/26 championship season by raising a commemorative banner at the OYM hall during their first home game of the new season. The ceremony honored the team’s achievement of winning the double, securing both the Swiss championship and the Women’s National Cup.

The championship title was secured on March 25, 2026, following a 6-3 victory against SC Bern, which concluded the final series 3-0. The event also served to connect the current squad with the history of women’s ice hockey in Zug, as former players from previous championship years were in attendance.

In recent league action, EV Zug continued their strong performance with a 10-0 victory over the bottom-ranked team from Neuchâtel, maintaining a one-point lead over SC Bern in the standings.
