EVA Air and EVA Aerospace confirm cyberattack and data breach

EVA Air and EVA Aerospace, subsidiaries of the Evergreen Group, confirmed on September 15 that their internal networks were breached by unauthorized individuals using malicious IP addresses.

EVA Air reported that the intrusion resulted in the theft of employee names and official contact information. The company has activated emergency response mechanisms to minimize impact and has notified relevant authorities. EVA Air emphasized that its core operations and services remain unaffected.

EVA Aerospace also detected a cyberattack on parts of its internal information systems. The company has isolated affected equipment and engaged an external cybersecurity team to conduct a forensic investigation. Preliminary assessments indicate that core information systems and business operations are functioning normally, with no evidence of sensitive data leakage involving customers or third parties.
