EVA Air launches direct Taipei‑Delhi service, first Taiwan‑India nonstop

EVA Air announced that it will start a nonstop service between Taipei, Taiwan and Delhi, India on 1 December. The airline will operate five weekly flights using Airbus A330‑300 aircraft. Flight BR367 will depart Taipei at 11:00 and arrive in Delhi at 15:35, while the return flight BR368 leaves Delhi at 19:55 and lands in Taipei at 04:20 the next morning.

The route revives a connection that was suspended in May 2008 after the Mumbai attacks. It makes EVA Air the only Taiwan‑based carrier offering a direct passenger link to India and is intended to strengthen economic ties in manufacturing, semiconductors, artificial‑intelligence and technology sectors, according to President Clay Sun. The service also provides a new hub for passengers travelling onward to North America via EVA Air’s Star Alliance partnership with Air India.
