München Mord continues following death of actor Alexander Held
The ZDF crime series ‘München Mord’ is entering a new era following the death of actor Alexander Held, who passed away in May at age 67. Held portrayed Detective Ludwig Schaller, and his final filmed episode, ‘Die Stadt, die es nicht gibt’, recently aired to approximately 4.03 million viewers, securing a 20.1 percent market share.
Series lead Marcus Mittermeier confirmed that the show will continue with the existing duo of Harald Neuhauser and Angelika Flierl. To fill the leadership void left by Held and the previous departure of Christoph Süß, actress and cabaret artist Eva Karl Faltermeier has joined the cast as Chief Inspector Dr. Linda Hösl.
Separately, questions remain regarding the burial of Alexander Held. Reports indicate that his remains have not yet been interred, potentially due to ongoing estate proceedings involving his property in Erl, Austria, where he had expressed a wish to be buried alongside his late wife.
