Eva Stevany Rataba denies receiving social assistance despite Desil 4 status

Eva Stevany Rataba, a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) from the NasDem Party, has denied receiving any social assistance from the Family Hope Program (PKH) after her name appeared in the Desil 4 category of the National Socio-Economic Single Data (DTSEN).

Rataba clarified that being listed in Desil 4—a category for low-to-vulnerable income groups—does not automatically mean an individual is a recipient of social aid. She expressed confusion regarding the data and has requested that the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and relevant authorities investigate the source and process of the data entry to ensure accuracy.

The Ministry of Social Affairs confirmed that while Rataba was indeed listed in the Desil 4 ranking, she has never received any social assistance funds. Officials stated the inclusion was due to old historical data that had not yet been updated through the latest comprehensive data synchronization. The Ministry noted that the status has since been updated and corrected.
