Evan Fournier returns to French national basketball team

Evan Fournier has confirmed his return to the French national basketball team, expressing a desire to enjoy his remaining time representing the country. The Olympiacos player shared his reflections via the official website of the French Basketball Federation.

Fournier noted that missing last summer's competition due to an ankle injury caused him to reconsider his international career. However, his love for the sport led to a quick decision to continue. He acknowledged his evolving role as one of the team's most experienced veterans alongside Rudy Gobert.

Regarding his competitive drive, Fournier stated that while he still wants to win, his focus has shifted from the intense pursuit of gold medals seen five or six years ago to enjoying the experience and mentoring the younger generation of players within the squad.
