Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for September. During the three games played in September, McPherson converted all eight field-goal attempts and all eight extra points.

McPherson scored a total of 32 points, tying for the most by any NFL kicker during the month. He also led all kickers in field goals made from 50 yards or more, successfully converting five such attempts. This performance sets a new Bengals franchise record for the most field goals from 50+ yards in a single month.
