Evander ties with Thomas Müller in MLS All-Star Skills Challenge
The MLS All-Star Game in Charlotte, North Carolina featured a series of skill challenges on Tuesday before the exhibition match. In the shooting contest, Brazilian midfielder Evander of FC Cincinnati and German forward Thomas Müller of the Vancouver Whitecaps each scored 79 points, setting a record for the event's 30-year history.
Other challenges saw US defender Tim Ream win the crossbar trial, while Brazilian players Guilherme (Houston Dynamo) and Nathan (Pumas UNAM) also took part. Top league stars Lionel Messi and Rodrigo de Paul were absent, having just played for Argentina in the World Cup final. The activities were briefly halted due to a storm risk.
