Evandro Carvalho re-elected president of the FPF
Evandro Carvalho has been re-elected as the president of the Pernambuco Football Federation (FPF) for a new four-year term. His winning slate, titled ‘Compromisso com a Modernidade’, secured 70 votes during the election held on September 20, 2026.
The election was monitored by Leonardo Costa, a lawyer from the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). Other participating slates included ‘Nova FPF’, led by André Cortez de Albuquerque, which received nine votes, and ‘Federação Jovem Pra Frente’, led by Markus Vinícius Lebre de Oliveira, which received six votes. Two votes were declared null.
Carvalho’s new administration includes Pedro Pessoa de Lacerda as 1st Vice-President, Paulo Cezar de Almeida Wanderley as 2nd Vice-President, and Gustavo Sampaio Octaviano de Souza as 3rd Vice-President. Following the results, Carvalho stated that the mandate represents a renewed commitment to the future of football in Pernambuco and a desire to work closer with clubs.
