Evangelia Liakouli addresses economic pressures in Greece

PASOK MP Evangelia Liakouli has raised concerns regarding the economic challenges facing Greek citizens and producers. During a television appearance, she highlighted the precarious situation of 2,500 employees at Pizza Fan, calling for immediate state intervention to ensure their survival as winter approaches.

Liakouli criticized current government policies for failing to combat inflation and protect the real economy. She proposed an alternative plan including expanded social housing, protection of primary residences from auctions, and debt restructuring options through 120 installments for tax and social security obligations.

Additionally, while attending a kiwifruit festival in Pyrgos, Liakouli addressed the struggles of the agricultural sector. She noted that rising production costs, fuel prices, and agricultural supplies are undermining the sustainability of small and medium-sized producers. She emphasized the need for policies to prevent the desertification of rural areas and to support the primary sector against monopolies.
