Evangelical Church of Congo advocates for Ngouédi site development

The Women and Family Department of the Evangelical Church of Congo (EEC) has proposed several measures to improve the Ngouédi site in the Bouenza department. During a spiritual retreat held from August 26 to 30, participants recommended rehabilitating dilapidated buildings, providing electrification, connecting the center to the national water distribution network, and repairing the Bouansa-Ngouédi road.

In addition to infrastructure needs, the department addressed social issues. Reverend Steline Puride Kongo Locko called for improvements in the application of the Mouebara law, which concerns the protection of widows and orphans. The department also suggested that the government implement measures to encourage market women to finish work by 5:00 PM to allow more time for child education, a proposal supported by representatives from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
