Evangelion plastic model kits announced by Good Smile Company and Plex

Several new Evangelion-themed plastic model kits have been announced for upcoming release.

Good Smile Company is accepting pre-orders for the ‘MODEROID DX-SCALE Evangelion Unit-01’. The kit features various molded colors, clear parts, and decals to replicate the appearance from the films. Some armor pieces are designed to react to blacklight. A special ‘LUMINOUS SET EDITION’ is also available, which includes a head unit with an internal light unit that allows the eyes to glow via a magnetic switch. This version is scheduled for shipment in June 2027.

Plex has announced a plastic model kit for the ‘Evangelion Unit-01 “G” Awakened Form’ from ‘Godzilla vs. Evangelion’. Based on an original concept involving the fusion of G-cells, the model depicts the unit with exposed black skin, dorsal fins, and a long tail. The kit uses a structure where skin and armor parts are attached to a pre-assembled body core. Pre-orders are available via Premium Bandai, with shipment expected in December 2026.
